HaulScope is the name of the solution. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at support@haulscope.com.
Information We Collect
We collect information to operate, secure, and improve the Services. The information we collect falls into these categories:
- Account and Authentication: When you sign in with Google (via Auth.js/NextAuth), we receive your Google account basic profile information that you consent to share, including your name, email address, Google account ID, and profile image URL. We use this to authenticate you and create your account.
- Workspace and Usage: Tenant/workspace settings, driver invites, configuration, logs you submit, and activity in the product (e.g., timestamps, feature usage, and device/browser metadata).
- Operational Records: Documents and settlement data you upload or process through the Services, and derived outputs (e.g., payslips).
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use session cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to protect your account.
How We Use Information
- Authenticate users and provide the Services.
- Operate, maintain, and improve features and reliability.
- Secure the platform, prevent fraud, and enforce policies.
- Communicate about account notices, updates, and support.
- Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Use of Google User Data
HaulScope uses Google OAuth solely for user authentication and account association. We request only basic profile and email information necessary to identify you and provide access. Google user data is not sold or shared for advertising. We do not perform offline access or sensitive scope access beyond what is strictly required to sign you in.
Legal Bases (EEA/UK)
Where applicable, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Services), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Services), and consent (where required, e.g., for certain cookies or integrations).
Canada Compliance (PIPEDA/CASL)
For users in Canada, HaulScope handles personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. We also comply with Canada’s Anti‑Spam Legislation (CASL) for commercial electronic messages. You can withdraw consent or manage email preferences at any time by contacting support@haulscope.com.
Sharing and Processing
We share information with service providers that help us operate the Services, subject to contractual safeguards:
- Authentication: Google (OAuth) to sign you in with your consent.
- Hosting and Infrastructure: Vercel (app hosting) and cloud service providers that run our platform.
- Data Storage: Managed databases (e.g., Supabase/PostgreSQL) for application data and audit logs.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger or acquisition) subject to appropriate protections.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting support@haulscope.com.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise rights, contact support@haulscope.com. We may need to verify your request.
Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we continuously improve our safeguards.
International Transfers
We may transfer and store information in countries outside your own. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
